The challenge

The client needed a desktop product with multiple user roles, dashboards, records, settings, and admin controls. The first phase focused only on structure: what belongs where, how users navigate, and how the product should scale.

Problem

Complex products often fail because navigation and information architecture are treated as visual layout tasks. The real challenge is product structure.

Who it's for

  • Admins
  • Managers
  • Standard users
  • Support teams
  • Developers

Approach

Create a desktop wireframe system covering navigation, page templates, dashboard hierarchy, table behavior, detail panels, and admin settings.

Key features & screens

  • Navigation model
  • Dashboard wireframe
  • Table/list view
  • Detail drawer
  • User role map
  • Settings structure
  • Empty/error states
  • Permission states
  • Search/filter behavior
  • Handoff notes

System & UX decisions

  • Use consistent page templates.
  • Keep navigation scalable.
  • Use drawers for quick detail without context loss.
  • Plan permission states before UI polish.
  • Treat tables as decision tools, not data dumps.

Outcome

The wireframe system created a clear product skeleton for dashboard, settings, user roles, data views, and admin workflows.
