The challenge

The client wanted a mobile learning experience that could support courses, lessons, tasks, and progress tracking. The real UX challenge was not only content access; it was helping learners continue without confusion.

Problem

Learning apps can become content libraries instead of guided experiences. If students cannot quickly understand what to continue, what is completed, and what is next, motivation drops.

Who it's for

  • Students
  • Instructors
  • Course admins
  • Parents or guardians if needed

Approach

Create a guided learning home screen with continue-learning cards, lesson milestones, progress indicators, and task reminders. The app should reduce decision-making and help students move forward.

Key features & screens

  • Continue lesson card
  • Course progress
  • Lesson detail page
  • Quiz/task flow
  • Completion state
  • Learning streak
  • Download/offline state
  • Instructor notes
  • Notification reminders
  • Course library

System & UX decisions

  • Put 'continue learning' first.
  • Show progress in human terms, not only percentages.
  • Make lessons feel bite-sized.
  • Use visual states for completed, active, and locked content.
  • Make quiz feedback clear and encouraging.

Outcome

The product was structured around continue-learning actions, lesson clarity, progress visibility, and lightweight motivation.
